Samsung Galaxy Fit 2 Features Review

  • Design
  • Galaxy Fit 2 comes in a 24 grams lightweight design thanks to its aluminum case material that is paired with a silicone strap. The display at 1.1 inches is slightly bigger than 0.95 inches of its predecessor, and AMOLED still powers the display, while navigation is via a touch-sensitive screen and a touchkey eliminating side physical button and joining the likes of Mi Band 5 and Huawei Band 4 Pro which both have touchkey.

The Galaxy Fit 2 is available in two colors; red and black. There are now more watch faces to choose from, unlike the Galaxy Fit that offered fewer options.

  • Fitness Tracking
  • The Galaxy Fit is equipped with a heart rate sensor and accelerometer that enables it to tracks your heart rate, calories, steps, and distance. It can track your sleep in three stages; deep, light REM which can be viewed from the Samsung Health app. When you workout outdoors, you can see your routes, location, and pace from the Samsung Health app, and there are about 90 preloaded workouts modes with the ability to auto-track 5 of these sports.

The Galaxy Fit 2 can also help you manage stress with the built-in stress app via a guided breathing session.

  • Notifications
  • Samsung Galaxy Wearable app is the companion app for the Galaxy Fit 2, it allows you to set up and manage the smartband. From here you can set up notification alerts and quick replies that allows you to reply to messages and other notifications. You can also control music, find my phone, and control the phone camera of a connected phone from the Galaxy Fit 2.

  • Battery Life

Galaxy Fit 2 has a longer battery life that allows you to go longer from a single charge. It can last up to 14 days with continuous heart rate tracking compared to 7 days of Galaxy Fit and up to 21 days with mixed usage.

Pros

  • Lightweight decent design.
  • Bigger display.
  • Lots of preloaded workout modes.
  • Long battery life.

Cons

  • Lacks inbuilt GPS.
  • Lacks ambient light sensor.
  • Lacks always-on display.
