Movado Connect is a fantastically designed smartwatch, it sparks of elegance and has this appearance that makes it a perfect fit for glamour. It is a luxury smartwatch and can compete with other luxury smartwatches such as Montblanc summit 2 or Tag Heuer connected modular 41.
It has a 1.39 inches AMOLED display. The picture quality is great, full-color display that is lively and interactive. It supports touchscreen and has an additional one button by the side to aid the effortless navigation of the interface.
Looking at the body, the Movado connect has a well-designed body that is built to last with top-grade durable materials. The case and the back feature stainless steel while the straps are made of leather. Of course, they are interchangeable. These leather straps give the Movado connect that classic appearance. On the screen is a sapphire glass material that is scratch resistant. Sapphire glass is used on many other high-end smartwatches and its one of the strongest materials.
Movado connect uses a lithium polymer battery with 300mAh capacity. The battery life is quite impressive. It lasts a full day on regular usage which still falls within the industry average of 1-2 days. On standby, it more that, about 2-4 days. No doubt, you can go a full day on a single charge with the Movado connect.
Movado connect has a 4GB storage space, it’s actually less than that, about 2.5GB is available for you to store your favorite files. This smartwatch lets you entertain yourself, it is fun-packed. It comes with a built-in microphone that is ready to take your voice command. You can install your favorite apps, download your favorite tracks directly in the watch. A very nice gesture that could come handy when working out.
Alright, you need not worry if you are suddenly caught up in the rain. In fact, the Movado connect has a waterproof rating of IPX8 which means it will survive water immersion up to 4.9 ft or 1.5 meters. Quiet ok, there is no cause for alarm if you mistakenly caught up in the rain. Perhaps you could wear it to the shower, however, we don’t recommend Movado Connect for tracking swimming activities.
The Movado Connect is not dust resistant.
We like to emphasize that this is not the perfect choice for fitness tracking. Check out some of the best smartwatches for fitness tracking. The Movado connect lacks a heart rate monitor and as well as inbuilt GPS. These two features constitute a major part of fitness tracking. You won’t be able to track your heart rate with it, although you can access GPS functions by connecting to your phone GPS.
However, Movado connect has both an accelerometer and gyroscope inbuilt that lets you track steps, distance, calories, and other daily activities.
Movado Connect is a perfect companion for your phone. It keeps you updated with notifications from your phone as it comes in. When connected to a compatible smartphone, you never get to miss important updates such as calls, emails, schedules and reminders and other notifications from both native and third-party apps on your phone.
Movado Connect runs on wear OS 2.0 which gives you more access to your favorite apps. You can download your favorite apps from the play store. Google Wear OS is not there yet, it could only get better especially now that Wear OS got redesign recently and has lots of new interesting features that improves users experience to a great extent.
Fortunately there is inbuilt NFC on the Movado connect, this supports Google Pay, a contactless payment system that lets you make payments on the go directly from the watch. The Movado connect is compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones.
