Montblanc Summit Full Specifications – Montblanc released the Summit in May 2017 in a bid to make a bold statement in the smartwatch industry, but its not the perfect choice for fitness tracking and certainly not the smartwatch for everyone. Montblanc summit is a luxury smartwatch with specs and design that says it all, a smartwatch for top personalities. It lacks inbuilt GPS, HRM and NFC and runs on the popular Wear OS.

Montblanc summit comes in a classy, stylish and elegant design depicting an appearance of traditional smartwatch, only this time a hybrid with smartwatch functions. The summit certainly is a smartwatch for top personality, it adds that touch of glamour and class to your appearance.
The body is built for durability, the casing is made with top-grade stainless while the straps made of leather features a 22mm width size which is interchangeable allowing you to define your style for every occasion. On the screen is a sapphire glass used to protect the screen against scratch and dust.
The display is rich featuring AMOLED on a 1.39 inches wide screen which is quite visible even under bright sunlight. It is touchscreen and supports multi-touch as well. By the side is a digital crown button that lets you navigate the interface effortlessly.
The battery life of the Montblanc summit is quite impressive. It comes with a battery capacity of 300mAh which on standby lasts about 2-3 days on average while on mixed usage the battery lasts about 12 hours. The battery life totally depends on your usage which varies and differs. The battery can be charged via a USB cable through a magnetic charging base that comes with the device.
There is a loudspeaker and a microphone inbuilt in the Summit plus a 4GB internal storage space which lets you store your favorite tracks and install apps from the playstore. You can play media files directly from the smartwatch via the loudspeaker. The microphone supports voice assistant features on the Montblanc summit.
The Montblanc summit is rated IP68 meaning its splash-proof resistant. It is water-resistant up to 1.5 meters. It’s not recommended for tracking swimming activities. You shouldn’t wear the Summit to the pool or ocean as this can damage the device.
The Montblanc Summit smartwatch is not the best choice for anyone who wants a smartwatch to track their fitness activities. The device lacks an inbuilt GPS and Heart rate monitor (HRM). So you won’t be able to monitor your heart rate variations or track outdoor activities with the Summit, perhaps you might want to connect it to your phone GPS. However, it comes with certain sensors such as an accelerometer while lets you track steps and distance you covered.
With the Montblanc Summit you can stay updated with new notifications on your phone. When connected to a compatible device, the device alerts you when there is a notification on your phone from third-party and native apps. The Montblanc summit alerts you with the following;
The Montblanc summit is compatible with android 4.3 or later and iOS 9.0 or later. The device runs on Wear OS and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon. Unfortunately, Montblanc Summit lacks NFC meaning there is no payment system in place.
With the Montblanc summit you can define your style, you can select from various watch faces available to customize to your choice. Same with the straps, you can change them to suit your style.
