Mi Band 4 vs Samsung Galaxy Fit vs Fitbit Inspire HR – The Differences

  • Design

  • Mere looking at these three smartbands, each looks elegant and stylish in their respective ways, while spotting the elliptical shape. Although, each of these three is sleek and elegant, the Galaxy Fit is the slimmest.

As per width, it’s almost the same, but the curved screen of the Inspire HR leaves it with a bit wider display which means you could see a bit more at a glance.

The Galaxy Fit and Inspire HR are touchscreen, and in addition have a single button by the side, while the Mi band 4 features a touchkey.

And while a 2.5D tempered glass protects the display of the Mi band 4, Corning Gorilla glass mans the screen of the Galaxy Fit and Inspire HR which makes the later two stronger ensuring they both can withstand accidental knocks.

Moreover, the Galaxy Fit rated MIL-STD-810G – US military grade rating is a more rugged device that will survive a bit tougher temperatures/weather conditions.

  • Battery Life

  • One remarkable feature that’s common to these three devices, is the long battery life that ensures you can go longer on a single charge. The Galaxy Fit and Inspire HR would see you through the week, although the Galaxy Fit has a bit longer battery life than the Inspire HR.

The Mi Band 4, on the other hand, has a much longer battery life that lets you go about two weeks on a single charge. Much like the Mi band 3 which also has impressive long battery life.

  • Media/Connectivity

  • Both the Mi Band 4 and Galaxy Fit come with NFC chip that supports Mi Pay and Samsung Pay respectively which isn’t present on the Inspire HR.

And in addition, the Mi Band 4 also has microphone built-in that allows you to issue a voice command, and as well control music and other related functions on your phone.

  • Activity Tracking

Each of these three being a smartband is fitness focused, and are equally well equipped to track you active life.

However, while the Mi Band 4 and Galaxy Fit feature the 6-axis that includes accelerometer and gyroscope, the Inspire HR has only a 3-axis accelerometer. As a result, the former two will track cycling activities more accurately, since they both track in 6-axis.

The Galaxy Fit and Mi Band 4 are well equipped to track all 6-axis movements that include linear and cycling movements.

Going by the number of activities that can be tracked, the Galaxy Fit can 90 different activities, and can automatically detect and track about 6 of those which is far more than the 15 sport modes the Inspire HR can track compare to the Mi band 4 that can track a bit fewer sport modes.

Which is the Best?

No doubt, each of these three smartband is a fantastic choice if you need a decent fitness tracker that helps you manage your fitness goals effortlessly.

However, the Galaxy Fit is a more comprehensive activity tracker that tracks quite a lot more activities than both the Inspire HR. It also has a bit more decent appearance compared to the other two, and at $100, it’s no doubt the best choice.

Additionally, the Galaxy Fit with MIL-STD-810G US military grade rating is a more rugged device that will survive tougher environmental conditions that would have crippled the Inspire HR or the Mi Band 4.

On the other hand, the Inspire HR has quiet more fitness tracking features than the Mi Band 4, and no doubt gives you more options to manage your fitness goals.

The Mi Band 4 on the other hand, has the longest battery life and is also very cheap compared to the other two, yet great quality.

It’s an outstanding choice and if you’re looking for a cheap fitness tracker that gets the job done, it certainly fills that gap perfectly.

Here’s how they stack up

SAMSUNG GALAXY FIT A durable, rugged device, and the most comprehensive activity tracker with an impressive battery life.
MI BAND 4 A cheaper alternative, also an outstanding choice for tracking your active life with the longest battery life.
FITBIT INSPIRE HR A decent choice with lots of fitness tracking features and an impressive battery life .

Our Pick

The Samsung Galaxy Fit is a more comprehensive activity tracker, while also being a rugged and durable choice. It’s our preferred choice.v
