Huawei Watch GT Active Features
- Impressive Battery Life
- Waterproof Rating
- Activity/Fitness Tracking
There hasn’t been a significant change with the Active edition, its same size, and material as the Classic and Sport editions.
The Active edition looks classic in its elegant design that leaves it with a traditional watch appearance, it would be a bit tricky to tell its actually a smartwatch.
While the stainless steel frame textured with a ceramics back leaves it with that fascinating classy appearance, while the AMOLED touchscreen offers that deep color quality display that’s very interactive and lively.
The screen protection comes in the form of corning Gorilla glass which makes it a fantastic choice for adventurous activities that ensures it can actually take some accidental knocks.
There are quite a handful of watch faces to choose from that actually look stunning, and as well you can change the 20mm fluoroelastomer straps that are very comfortable to wear and are available in dark green and orange colors.
And just like the older Classic and Sport editions, the Active edition also has the same impressive battery life that has seen the Watch GT become one of the best selling smartwatches last year.
You should expect about 2 weeks of battery life on average which is quite impressive, but this is just an estimate, it can be lower and certainly will vary among different users.
The Watch GT Active is also rated 5ATM which means it’s water-resistant up to 50 meters underwater, and certainly a great choice for tracking your swims. You can wear it to the pool or perhaps the ocean.
The Huawei Watch GT since its release has become one of the best fitness smartwatches that have been recommended a high number of times by real users and pundits alike factoring activity tracking features.
The GT Active is also a comprehensive fitness tracker and has joined the likes of Garmin Forerunner 945 that features a triathlon mode for outdoor activity tracking.
The Watch GT Active features triathlon mode which supports three workout activities that include; open water swimming, outdoor cycling and outdoor running, and it does actually track the entire triathlon activity including the transition time, while also being able to track the following activities;
- The Huawei TruSeen 3.0 that combines optical PPG and AI algorithms to support 24 hours continuous heart rate monitoring of both active and resting heart rates offering in-depth insights that help you know when to actually scale it up or down.
- There’s also the Huawei TruSleep 2.0 scientific tracking that enables it to track and analyze your complete sleep cycle.
- It reminds you to move when it detects sedentary moments, also tracks your steps, and distance covered.
- With support for multiple GPS satellite system, the Active edition is a great choice for exploring your favorite sites.
- And with barometric and altitude features, the Watch GT Active is also a smart choice for you climbing activities.
The Huawei Watch GT Active comes with Bluetooth support that ensures it can keep you connected with all the info that matters to you.
When paired with a compatible device, it’s able to update you when there’s a notification on your phone from native and third-party apps. You can also set up reminders and be sure to receive a buzz.
However, the Active edition just like the older Classic and sport edition lacks Wi-Fi and NFC support that means you can’t make any payment from this device.
