The Honor Watch Magic 2 is available in two sizes; 42mm and 46mm, and just like the Huawei Watch GT, the 42mm is a stripped-down edition of the Magic 2. It lacks microphone and loudspeaker which are present in the Magic 2 (46mm) model. Looking at the minor differences in the appearance, the GT 2 (42mm) is a slightly more compact device, it also weighs a little less than the Magic 2. Moreover, its near bezeless design leaves it with a more classy appearance. Although, the Magic 2 is slightly slimmer and sleeker, and its fine-textured near-flat calibrated bezel leaves it with a classic watch appearance just like a traditional watch.
In all, we’ve two fine-looking smartwatches with outstanding designs.
Each of these two is fitness-focused, better equipped than their respective predecessors to track your active life comprehensively. The innovative Huawei Truseen, TruRelax and TruSleep are all present on both devices to track your heart rate more accurately, breath guidance to help you recover from stress and are able to track your complete sleep stages (Rem, deep and light).
The multi-satellite inbuilt GPS system is also available on these two which enables outdoor activity tracking. Triathlon sport modes, training effect and recovery effect are also present on these two. Blood oxygen tracking has also been introduced to both devices.
Swim-heart rate tracking that tracks your heart rate while you swim is also present on both smartwatches.
The battery life of these two smartwatches is about the same. Each of these two has been tested to last about 7 days from a single charge. That’s impressive, and thus, makes any of these two a great choice for tracking long hours of activities.
Which is Better?
No doubt, each of these two is a fantastic smartwatch. Great timepieces with an outstanding design, comprehensive fitness trackers with impressive long battery life. However, the Magic 2 (42mm) with a slight better design is a finer smartwatch.
