Fitbit Versa Lite vs Amazfit Verge vs Ticwatch E2 Features Compared

  • Design and Display

  • Mere looking at the design of these three, it’s clear that both the Versa Lite and Amazfit Verge look more fascinating than the Ticwatch E2 which looks somewhat cheap. However, going by the body materials, the Versa Lite case is made of aerospace-grade aluminum has a better quality material compared to polycarbonate used on the Amazfit Verge and Ticwatch E2. These leaves the Versa Lite with a more premium design – it’s nowhere being cheap and certainly out of these three, it is the classiest.

Going by sizes, the Versa Lite again has just the right size that sees it become a much better fit for fitness activities. It’s also the slimmest out of these three, making it the sleekest. Still on the price, while both men and women can wear any of these, the Versa Lite is certain to be more appealing to a larger consumer base than the other two.

On the display, AMOLED powers the display on both the Amazfit Verge and Ticwatch E2 which gives a richer display and has better viewing angles thus making the display of the Verge and E2 more interactive with better quality pictures compared to the Versa Lite. However, the TFT LCD on the Versa Lite is quite brighter than the AMOLED on the other two which makes Versa Lite screen easily more readable outdoors under direct sunlight than the other two.

Overall, based on the design, the Versa Lite has a better premium design and more flexible, yet more stylish than the Amazfit Verge and Ticwatch E2.

  • Connectivity

  • The Amazfit Verge has more hardware features onboard than the Versa Lite and E2. There is an NFC chip in the Amazfit Verge that supports Ali pay for mobile payments on the go. This feature is lacking on both Versa Lite and Ticwatch E2.

There is also Wi-Fi and inbuilt GPS on both Amazfit Verge and Ticwatch E2 which the Versa Lite lacks. Although you will still be able to access GPS functions on the Versa Lite, that might come with some inconveniences in certain situations.

  • Battery Life

  • The good thing is that the battery life of these three is quite impressive. You should get over a day of battery life with each of these.

However, the Versa Lite and the Amazfit Verge both have a slightly longer battery life than the E2. With the Versa Lite or Amazfit Verge, you should get up to 3 days of battery life on regular usage while the E2 will last over a day which I will consider impressive and should cover up for your daily routines.

  • Operating System

  • Both the Amazfit Verge and Versa Lite run on their respective proprietary platforms while the Ticwatch E2 runs on the Wear OS. Without mincing words, the Wear OS for now is a better OS compared to the Fitbit OS or the Amazfit OS which although is built based on the Android system lacks the versatility that Wear OS offers.

Wear OS which has received a series of updates over the last 18 months has seen it become a better OS offering better user experience – you have lots of apps to choose from.

So if you are business inclined, fitness inclined or whatever, you should find just the right app. I am not writing off the Fitbit OS which no doubt is a nice OS same with the Amazfit OS, but the Wear OS, for now, is more versatile and holistic.

  • Memory/Media

  • Phone-free music is a feature consumers most times look out for, that feature is not available on the Versa Lite. The Amazfit Verge and Ticwatch E2 both have 4GB ROM on-board for your downloads and installations which the Versa Lite lacks. There is also a microphone on the Verge and E2 which lets you answer calls and as well give voice commands. In addition, Amazfit Verge also has a loudspeaker.

  • Water Resistance Rating

  • While the Versa Lite and Ticwatch E2 are rated 5ATM making these two swim-proof, the Amazfit Verge is rated IP68. So, while you can wear any of the E2 or Versa Lite to the pool or ocean, you can’t do that with the Amazfit Verge.

  • Fitness Tracking

Fitness tracking is at the heart of these three, with any of these you should be able to track your daily activities.

However, while the Versa Lite offers you 15 sport modes, Amazfit Verge offers 11 sport modes and the Ticwatch E2 offers 6 sport modes and in addition, the E2 has a great deal of swim-tracking features which makes it the best choice for avid swimmers.

Although the Versa Lite lags in tracking your swim activities, it, however, has the most robust fitness tracking features out of these three – it’s a more comprehensive fitness tracker than the Amazfit verge and Ticwatch E2.

Which Should You Buy?

Each of these three is fitness-focused, so if you looking for a low-priced fitness smartwatch then any of these three would make a fantastic choice.

However, although not with all the essential features, the Versa Lite is the best choice for comprehensive fitness tracking. It has more fitness tracking features and more flexible design than the other two that makes it the best choice for a fitness enthusiast.

If you want more features and a nice fitness tracker as well, then Ticwatch E2 is the best choice. It has quite a lot of features and in addition, is the Wear OS advantage that makes it a great choice for adventurous activities. It’s a great bargain and certainly gives the best value for money.

The Amazfit Verge, no doubt is a great fitness smartwatch – it has a better design than the E2 and with NFC onboard, it’s the best choice for the business inclined.

Here is a summary;

FITBIT VERSA LITE A more comprehensive fitness tracker, premium design and outstanding performance. The best choice for fitness tracking.
TICWATCH E2 Has more features overall and also a great choice for fitness tracking. It gives the best value for money.
AMAZFIT VERGE Also a great choice with stylish and elegant design and a fantastic fitness tracker.
Our Pick

Despite lacking some essential features, the Fitbit Versa Lite which has the most outstanding design, a more holistic fitness tracker is our preferred choice.
