Meet Fitbit Sense that has been announced alongside Fitbit Versa 3 and Inspire 2. Fitbit Sense is a higher-end smartwatch with more health tracking features than Versa 3. The Sense features stress monitoring and ECG tracking which Versa 3 lacks. The Sense is a lightweight smartwatch with a sleek and elegant design. Aluminum has been used for the case, while the bezel is made of stainless steel and the straps are made of elastomer. The 1.58 inches always-on display is powered by AMOLED that offers interactive and colorful display, while Corning Gorilla Glass 3 covers the screen.
Fitbit Sense is available in white/soft gold and carbon/graphite colors. You can store and access up to 5 watch faces directly from the watch and like other Fitbit smartwatches, you get access to loads of apps that you can install from the Fitbit App.
Fitbit Sense comes with an improved PurePulse 2.0 heart rate tracking technology, and it also features an ECG sensor that detects irregular heart rhythm, stress monitoring via the EDA scan app. There is an inbuilt GPS that allows you to track outdoor activities without carrying your phone along. It also features temperature tracking that monitors your temperature as well as features blood oxygen tracking.
There’s the reflection feature that allows you to compare stress patterns and can help you figure out what causes you stress.
And like other Fitbit smartwatches, the Sense features 20+ preloaded sport modes, Active minutes, comprehensive sleep tracking, calories, steps, distance, floors climbed, menstrual cycle tracking, stress management via a guided breathing session.
Fitbit Sense features Alexa Voice and Google Assistant which allow you to do simple tasks with your voice. It also comes with a microphone and loudspeaker that allows you to play music aloud without a wireless Bluetooth headphone and as well allows you to make and receive calls from the watch. Thus, joining the likes of Active 2, Watch 5, and other smartwatches that have the Bluetooth calling feature.
Other features include onboard music storage via adding your own music or services such as Deezer, Pandora, and Spotify. There’s also Fitbit Pay that allows you to make a payment from the watch.
Fitbit claims the Sense can last up to 6 days with mixed usage, while fast charging has also been added.
