Amazfit T-Rex Features
- Rugged Design
- Battery Life
- Activity/Fitness Tracking
The T-Rex is one of the strongest smartwatches among new releases from the Huami/Xiaomi brand. It has a reinforced polycarbonate case and 22mm silicone straps that are interchangeable and very comfortable to wear. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 which in addition to the MIL-STD rating makes the T-Rex one of the strongest smartwatch right now on the market.
It’s quite bulky at 47.7mm and thick at 13.5mm (a man’s watch), while the 1.3 inch AMOLED display offers a fascinating and interactive display. It has touch support with four physical buttons by the side to aid navigation. Despite the size, the T-Rex is still very lightweight at 58 grams which adds to making this watch a very comfortable wear.
The battery life of the T-Rex is very impressive, it’ll last up to 20 days according to a test carried out by Huami, and with continuous GPS tracking, it’s about 22 hours. This is longer than the Stratos 3 with about a week battery life.
Just like other smartwatches from Huami/Xiaomi, the T-Rex is also fitness-oriented and well equipped to track your daily activities both indoors and outdoors. It has a heart rate sensor, accelerometer and inbuilt GPS/GLONASS dual satellite system that ensures a more accurate positioning data.
The T-Rex will track your steps, calories, distance, sleep, continuous heart rate monitoring and outdoor activities such as routes, location, and pace. It comes with 14 preloaded sport modes which include triathlon, pool and open water swimming and other sport modes that allow you to choose your preferred workout mode.
The T-Rex is also equipped to keep you connected to all that matters to you and improve your productive life. Its compatible with both android and iOS devices which upon successful connection to a compatible device will alert you when there’s a new notification from your phone.
