Amazfit Bip U Features
- Lightweight and 1.43 Bigger and Brighter Display
- SpO2, Stress Monitoring and 60 Preloaded Sport Modes
- Up to 9 Days Long Battery Life
- Manage Notifications, Remote Camera Control, Weather Forecast and More
Following up in the footsteps of older Amazfit Bip smartwatches, the Bip U is a very lightweight, sleek, and stylish smartwatch. It has a 2.5D glass with anti-fingerprint coating, while the case is made of polycarbonate and the interchangeable straps are made of silicone which results in 31 grams of weight without the straps. This of course makes it a comfortable smartwatch you can wear all day long and specifically a befitting choice for sports activities.
Just like Amazfit Bip S and Bip, Bip U has a TFT LCD display, but is now bigger at 1.43 inches compared to the 1.28 inches of previous editions. It’s also brighter with a higher resolution of 320 x 302 pixels. Communicating with Bip U is through touchscreen support and one physical rotating button. There are about 50 watch faces to choose from to customize the look of the display.
Bip U is available in three colors; green, black, and pink, while it’s also rated 5ATM which is an improvement from Amazfit Bip that was rated IP68. It’s safe to wear the Bip U to the shower, pool, or ocean.
Bip U comes with new fitness tracking features which include SpO2 blood oxygen tracking that enables you to measure the level of oxygen your blood is carrying at any given moment, as well as stress management via a guided breathing session with 60 preloaded sport modes that give you more options to choose your preferred workout mode. There is also the PAI health assessment system that was added to Mi Band 5, this feature is an evaluation system that uses algorithms to transform complex information such as heart rate, activity duration, and other health data to numerical values and presents it as a benchmark of your overall health score.
Beyond these new additions, Bip U is equipped with a PPG biological optical sensor and accelerometer that enables it to track your heart rate, calories, steps, distance, and more. It also tracks your sleep in four stages; light, deep, awake, and REM as well as naps. Other features include menstrual cycle tracking.
The drawback to the brighter and larger display is that the Bip U has a shorter battery life than older Amazfit Bip smartwatches. Bip U comes with 225mAh lithium-polymer battery that offers up to 9 days long battery life from a single charge.
Beyond the lightweight design and fitness tracking features, Bip U will also help you manage notifications received on your phone. To get alerts on Bip U when you receive notifications on your phone, you need to set it up with the Zepp App (formally Amazfit app) which is compatible with Android 5.0+ and iOS 10.0+.
Other features include weather forecast, remote camera control, find my phone, and more.
